I'm listening to Django Reinhardt's Sweet Georgia Brown right now this second. Mostly this week I've been listening to (I know, shoot me) Duffy's album, because I'm a bird and it's what bird's like. I have also been enjoying Jacob Golden's album Revenge Songs, Vampire Weekend and I am slightly in love with Lightspeed Champion's album. That lot peppered with old faves like Jeff Buckley's Grace and The Essential Sly & The Family Stone has rendered this, quite possibly A Great Musical Week. Oh yeah.

I went out and got Seldom Seen Kid by Elbow today, on first listen it could be a good'un but I've rediscovered Sleazy Rock-n-Roll after my teenage son dragged my sorry ass to see Velvet Revolver last night, It was filthy in a this is how its done sort of way. I'm off now to try and get math to wear eyeliner and squeeze into a tight pair of leather trousers and I wonder if Andy would suit a top hat. I couldn't resist putting Appetite For Destruction on in the car this morning.

I'm not listening to anything at the moment, but today's cds were "Kinks Kronikles" disc 1, Sqeeze "Babylon and On" and They Might Be Giants "Flood". It's a quiet day as I'm on holiday from work - normal rotation is a about 10 cds a day. cheers, scott

I'm listening to the incessant chatter of my colleagues discussing the various merits of holidaying in Tenerife. Good grief *smacks forehead with hand*

| It's ok- I too have Duffy - what a voice, but in the true blues/soul tradition, a tad miserable, poor lass. Also Elbow - going to see them in Newcastle on Sat 5th - also a bit miserable though. Then Goldfrapp last night which is great for drifting off - but as always-incomprehensible. Need to get hold of something more upbeat in next few weeks before I start to weep!!! Resorted to Happy Mondays Step On last night to cheer myself up-usually does the trick. Was at Versus Cancer gig in Manchester last month and it was great (but gutted the Aftershow was sold out....) | I was listening to Kate Rusby. Then I found some Dodgy songs on Youtube so I listened to them. And now it's a bit quiet actually... |
