It's been so long. Well it feels like it anyway, but not for long as we have our Autumn shows coming up very soon.

On Oct 28th we play at the East Winter Gardens in Canary Wharf in London. This will be a special acoustic show, the organisers like to call it "imtimate" but I think that means that the venue is quite cosy and not necessarily that we'll be taking our trousers off. (we will do if you want but you REALLY have to applaud)

We love playing these type of gigs as we can play tunes we wouldn't normally play and basically have a bit of a giggle. Our show at the Wood Festival earlier this year was a scream and indeed prompted Robin from Truck (one of the organisers) to say that we were beautiful in a quite offensive way like "...The Marx Brothers, Crosby Stills and Nash and Chubby Brown". I took that as a wonderful compliment.

It's gonna be extra special as our old friend Martin Carr will be playing with us that night. Obviously he is best known for being the songwriter from the fantastic Boo Radleys but he has a lovely new album out now called Ye Gods (and Little Fishes) which you can buy here http://sonnyboyrecords.greedbag.com + we have amazing new artist (also from Liverpool) who Nigel has been producing called Daniel and the Gold Seal. It's gonna be a top night. http://www.myspace.com/danielsgoldseal

The following week on Nov 6th we'll be returning to the Club Academy in Manchester, this time for a full show and we are very happy to announce that our special guests that night will be The Travelling Band. I first heard this band doing a sublime version of Waterfall by the Stone Roses and any band that can do justice one of my fav songs is OK in my book. Check them out here http://www.myspace.com/thetravellingband

Hope you like the additions to the Myspace player. I hadn't heard She Want's My Lovin and Valuable Fool for years so I had to buy the Water Under The Bridge CD single from ebay, I'd forgotten how good they were. Bless. I also discovered loads of formats that I never knew existed - So Let Me Go Far YELLOW VINYL ?????

Nige is being a very busy bee at the moment as he's playing all over the shop promoting his crackin album that's just been made available for download, find all details here http://www.myspace.com/nigelband
Mr Miller is getting all Ronnie Wood on our ass and churning out some amazing paintings, some of which you'll be able to see soon; whilst I'm getting all Tony Blackburn on your ass with my own radio show on Spire FM, you can here the podcast if you type Live and Local into itunes podcasts.

See you very soon and until then, take good care now

Math xx

See our Myspace for ticket details
